Research & Graduate Studies, A Priority at Alfaisal University Research is at the core of Alfaisal University with generous funding and state-of-the-art labs with the most advanced techniques and methods employed enhancing the ability to produce high quality and multi-disciplinary research papers that are published by faculty and student in highly reputable journals.

  • The total external research funding awarded in 2013-2014 reached 12,903,450 SAR. This total includes 187,500 SAR for five student research projects funded by Boeing, as well as a one-time additional grant of 187,500 SAR for extra projects.
  • Alfaisal University ranked 1st in the Kingdom with the highest average citation impact of 1.46 for clinical medical & health sciences papers according to the Thomson Reuters Indicators Report.
  • The SCImago Journal Rank (SJR indicator) places Alfaisal University 2nd in Kingdom in Research Excellence. The SJR indicator which is a measure of high quality output of research institutions is based on the excellence of scientific journals as documented in the Scopus database (Elsevier B.V.)
  • Currently there are four active graduate programs at Alfaisal University: Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Biomedical Sciences (MBS) with its three tracks Molecular & Cell Biology (MCB), Infection Control (IC) and Clinical Embryology & Reproductive Biology (CERB).
