Research Priorities
A dynamic set of research priorities was developed as a result of a
collaborative effort from national and international members of the University’s
Research Advisory Committee who are experts in their fields as well as Aflaisal
College Deans, KSA’s 8th National Plan, KSA’s 20/20 Vision and KACST National
Strategy for Science & Technology.
It is anticipated that the Research Priority Guidelines will help to increase
the critical mass for research in the Kingdom by taking advantage of current
partnerships. By allowing Alfaisal’s incoming faculty to collaborate in priority
areas of mutual interest, it is hoped that real breakthroughs will be achieved
in solving regional problems, in human capacity building and in promoting
economic development and diversification.
