Research Day Student Poster Competition Winners

Alfaisal Research Colloquium
Faculty and students attended the University’s first Research Colloquium on Wednesday 5 November 2008. The guest speaker, Dr. Maher Alodan, VP for Research at Alfaisal, spoke about Research Funding and Directions in Saudi Arabia. Dr. Alan Goodridge, Provost and VP for Academic Affairs,
Stanford University Space and Aeronautics Workshop
Alfaisal University Engineering students and faculty attended the Stanford University Space and Aeronautics Workshop at the King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) on Sunday 26 October 2008.
Trilateral Research Collaboration
Alfaisal University initial efforts have been fruitful with the trilateral research collaborations which have already been developed between MIT, KACST and Alfaisal University in the field of technology. Collaborative research contracts have been conducted for four research projects:
- Nanopatterning for Fuel-Cell Electrodes
- Mid-Infrared Lasers for Sensing Applications
- Photonics for the Petrochemical Industry
- Enhancement of Transport Phenomena in Nanofluids
Memorandum of Understanding between Alfaisal University and Saudi Organization for Industrial Estate and Technology Zones
Alfaisal University has signed an MOU with Saudi Organization for Industrial Estates and Technology Zones (SOIETZ) to collaborate on research and achieve common goals. The two parties will work together to support industrial clusters and specialized research in such areas as seawater desalination, petrochemicals industry, and other industries strategically important to the Kingdom.
