On behalf of all staff in the Office of Research I would like to welcome you to the Office of Research website. Eminence in research is crucial to achieving the University’s goals of becoming a leading educational institution and a model in the region. It is also a critical component to the University’s mission of conducting world class research that benefits the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the region and the world. Collaboration between Alfaisal and individuals, companies, and other universities in the local environment is fundamental to conducting research which can be applied to benefit and develop society.

VISION

The Office of Research will support Alfaisal University as a private non-profit institution which aspires to be a world-class research university committed to the creation, dissemination and application of knowledge in the fields of business, engineering, life sciences and medicine.

MISSION

The mission of the Office of Research is to support Alfaisal University to create and disseminates knowledge through multi-disciplinary research programs and service in order to benefit the country, the region and the world.

Specific goals for the Office are:

Developing an infrastructure and culture that encourages, supports and recognizes research excellence and promotes the involvement of students in order to assist Alfaisal to become a leading institution that benefits society in the region.
Establishing effective sustainable research sponsored programs to allow the University to grow and to fulfill its strategic goals.
Institutionalizing ethical standards and guidelines for all Alfaisal faculty, staff and students to ensure the highest levels of integrity and compliance.
Developing and encouraging the creation of interdisciplinary research programs, centers of excellence and research chairs to aid Alfaisal to become a hub of distinction.
Facilitating commercialization of research outcomes in order to help the country to diversify its economy.
