Research Interests:

  • Hymnology; rhetoric, argument, and persuasion embedded within popular multidisciplinary texts; the relationship between words and music; popular culture; theological and religious writings; editing and editorial theory; literary theory; English literature and aesthetic theory of the 17th to 20th centuries; Medieval literature, and Canadian literature; theories of narrative; creative writing; distinctions between [auto]biography, fiction, and meta-fiction.
