Shahnawaz Ahmed is an instructor of Mathematics in the College of Science and General Studies at Alfaisal University. He received his Master’s degree in Mathematics from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, India in 2008.

His M.Sc. dissertation focused on detailed proofs of the existence and multiplicity of solutions for the linear complementarity problem (LCP) which is of special relevance to computational mechanics and quadratic programming.

His current research interest includes numerical solutions to partial differential equations, especially high order solutions of the Eikonal Equation, an equation used in a variety of applications, including fault detection, oil recovery, medical imaging, and a number of problems in computer vision.
