AL-Hindawi
Lab Instructor
Curriculum Vitae
Mohammed Al-Hindawi joined the faculty of the Alfaisal University in 2011 as
the Biology Laboratory Instructor. Between the years 2004 and 2007, he worked
for the Jordanian Ministry of Health as a PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction)
specialist. After that, between 2010 and 2011, he worked at the Jordan
University of Science and Technology as a part-time lecturer.
He obtained his BSc in Biotechnology and Genetics Engineering at the Jordan
University of Science and Technology in 2002.
He was awarded the degree of Master of Science in Biotechnology from the
University of Western Sydney (Australia) in 2010. His research area was on “The
effects of chemical mutagens on Begonia Rex”. Because of the commercial
importance of Begonia Rex as an ornamental plant sold for display in homes and
business properties, the trials focused on attempting to genetically design a
more viable, saleable plant by changing morphological traits like leaf color,
shape, and size by using different concentrations of chemical mutagens such as
Colchicine.
His present research interests revolve around plant tissue culture techniques.
