Dr.
Edreese Alsharaeh, Ph.D.
Assist. Professor of of Chemistry
Curriculum Vitae
Dr. Edreese Alsharaeh earned his B. Sc. in Chemistry in 1993 from Jordan
University of Science and Technology, and his M. Sc. in Organic Chemistry on
1997 From Tennessee State University. In 2004 he received his Ph.D. in Physical
Chemistry from Virginia Commonwealth University.
He had intense teaching and industrial experience, as well as, a number of
scholarly achievements. He has published ten journal articles in major refereed
journals (American Chemical Society Publications) and numerous presentations in
ACS Meetings nationally and regionally. He worked as Sr. Scientist in The R&D
Laboratory of Vintage Pharmaceutical Company. Then he accepted successive
positions as assistant professor at chemistry at George Mason University and
Gulf University for Sciences and Technology.
His research interest is in structural information, mechanism of oligomers via
polymerization in the gas phase and nanostructure material. In addition, the
research involves reactions and salvations of Atomic Metal Captions within
Molecular Clusters and Mass Selected-Cluster Ion Mobility Mass Spectrometer for
structural characterizations and binding energies of gas phase molecular cluster
ions. These studies incorporate a variety of experimental techniques (molecular
beams, lasers, electron impact, Time of flight, CID, Quadruple and Ion mobility
mass spectrometry (MS/MS).
