Student Centered Approach

Alfaisal recognizes that students' needs are the driving force in the learning environment. We aim at building students' capabilities and improving their problem solving skills as well as critical thinking by offering internship opportunities, research projects, and the chance to engage with faculty in joint research projects with reputable institutions.

Significant achievements have been made by our students in many other areas at national and international levels. These accomplishments include taking part in an Annual Research Day Student Poster Competition at Alfaisal, contributing to a competition organized by the Ministry of Higher Education at the national level, competing in the Shell Eco Marathon through building a more fuel efficient car, publishing scientific papers and book chapters with faculty members, winning international awards at student conferences, and volunteering for community outreach projects. Examples of community orientated research produced by Alfaisal students include 'Improving Breast Feeding in Saudi Arabia: The Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative' and 'Effectiveness of an Innovative Community- Based Breast Cancer Awareness Workshop'.

Alfaisal University students enjoy a rich college experience thanks to a wide array of student extracurricular activities and associations such as the Social Development Committee (SDC) as well as the Medical Students Association (MSA), Engineering Students Association (ESA), Business Students Association (BSA), and College of Science Students Associations (COSSA), which are all committed to serving the community at large.
