One of the major achievements this past year has been the success of Alfaisal University faculty in the Saudi Aramco University Collaboration Programs (UCP). Three out of six research proposals submitted by faculty members at Alfaisal University have been accepted for funding as part of the Saudi Aramco University Collaboration Program (UCP). In response to an invitation by Saudi Aramco, a total of 65 basic and applied research proposals were received from universities in the Kingdom. A rigorous assessment process was employed to recommend proposals for acceptance. A total of 13 research proposals were selected for funding out of these submissions in the 2011 cycle of UCP.
The three accepted proposals from Alfaisal University are:
