Research Interests:

  • Cell biology of mitochondria – cellular and molecular mechanisms how cells control mitochondrial morphology and distribution, and mitochondrial dynamics in cell life and death;
  • Mitochondrial diseases – mitochondrial ROS (reactive oxygen species) in cancer, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases and neurodegenerative ;
  • Renal and cardiovascular physiology – renal and cardiovascular alterations in pregnancy, diabetes and hypertension.
