Research Interest

  • Structural organization and regulation of the Excitation-Contraction module by scaffold and transmembrane proteins: membrane biology, pathophysiology, and signal transduction in cardiac muscle.
  • Investigating the role of scaffolding molecules in complex formation and regulation of signaling pathways fundamental for cardiomyocytes function: calcium homeostasis, contraction, cell cycle, proliferation, growth, and death.
  • Understanding the molecular basis of scaffold proteins in cardiac remodeling (normal and pathological conditions) using animal models with cardiac conditions.
