The College of Science and General Studies is accepting applications for the following positions for Fall Semester 2011. All instruction is delivered in the English language, and applicants should have the requisite proficiency in English for introductory undergraduate courses. Applicants should have the following qualifications for each position as noted below:

FULL-TIME Male Lab/Tutorial instructor in Mathematics: Master-level degree, preferably from a North American accredited university; ability to conduct tutorials and labs in support of mathematics professors; assist with grading, test administration, and proctoring;
Qualified WOMEN for PART-TIME adjunct laboratory/tutorial instructor appointment in four areas for Fall Semester 2011: Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics :
Biology: Master-level degree in a Life Sciences related field (Biochemistry, Molecular or Cell Biology, Biotechnology, Genetics, etc.); undergraduate student teaching experience preferred; duties include maintenance of general working conditions of the Biology teaching laboratory used for women instruction; preparation and delivery of laboratory classes and tutorials; monitoring and documentation on the use, supply, and disposal of the equipment, reagents, and consumables.
Chemistry: Master-level degree in any branch of chemistry, demonstrated excellent potential in the relevant area of specialization; demonstrated high level of written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills;
Mathematics: Master-level degree, preferably from a North American accredited university; ability to conduct tutorials and labs in support of mathematics professors; assist with grading, test administration and proctoring;
Physics: Master-level degree preferred, but Bachelor-level degree accepted; the candidate should have an experimental/laboratory experience sufficient for instructional support in introductory physics courses

The College of Science and General Studies of Alfaisal University offers an Assistant Professor rank position for a generalist in Social Sciences, with appointment to begin fall semester 2011-2012.

Applicants should hold the Ph.D. or equivalent and have teaching experience. Areas of teaching competence should include two or more of the following: Anthropology, History, World Geography, Political Science, and Sociology. Teaching load is 3/2, with a tripartite workload including research/scholarship and university service assignments.

The successful candidate will develop new courses that will satisfy the Social Science component of the university's General Education Requirements. These are courses taken by students in the four colleges of the University Business, Engineering, Medicine, and Science. The faculty appointment is a continuing appointment subject to the usual probationary period of performance review. While Alfaisal University has no tenure system of faculty appointments, it does have a faculty promotion process that allows for faculty advancement in rank.
