Curriculum Vitae
Dr. Jalal Karam joined Alfaisal University in Sept. 2009 and currently he is
leading the Mathematics Division in the College of Science & General Studies.
Dr. Jalal Karam received his BSC and MSC in Mathematics from Dalhousie
University in 1993 and 1995 respectively. In the year 2000 he received his PhD
in Engineering from the Technical University of Nova Scotia.
Dr. Karam is the
Editor – in – Chief of the International Journal of Computational Sciences and
Mathematics, and a Reviewer for the Mathematical Reviews of the American
Mathematical Society. He is a Participant, Reviewer and Organizer of many
International Conferences and Workshops and a Recipient of the Achievement Award
from the 2007 World Congress in Applied Computing held in Las Vegas, USA, June
2007.
His Research Interests include Mathematical Modeling, Wavelets Theory and
Applications, Complex Analysis, Digital Signal Processing, Speech Compression
and Recognition. Author of over forty Journal and Conference Publications, Dr. Karam has taught MBA, Engineering, Math and Statistics courses, supervised
graduate students and held Department Head positions at the Open University in
Beirut and Gulf University for Sciences and Technology in Kuwait.
