Dr. Declan McCrohan, PhD,
Assistant Professor in Finance
Curriculum Vitae

Dr. Declan McCrohan graduated with a PhD in Applied Economics and a Masters degree in International Trade from Victoria University in Australia. His PhD research examined the impact of overseas students’ social networks on international trade flows.

Dr. McCrohan has extensive experience in developing International Education projects in Southeast Asia and has also worked for the Australian Government in the area of Strategic Trade Development.

Dr. McCrohan has taught a range of finance/economics/international business/statistics subjects at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels across Asia and the Middle East. His primary research interests include financial market behaviour and determinants, national entrepreneurship performance, international education issues, and international trade flow modelling.

Dr. McCrohan was the UAE Team Leader for the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor Study which investigates entrepreneurship activity across more than fifty countries.
