Moneeb A. Q., Ph.D.
Director of Quality Assurance and Accreditation (QAA)

Prof. Moneeb A.Q. serves as the director of QAA. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from University of Wales, U.K. (1993); a Master of Computer Sciences from University of Wales, U.K. (1990); and a B.Sc. in Computer Science from Yarmouk University, Jordan (1984).

Prof. Moneeb was appointed as an assistant professor at Jordan University (JU) in 1993, Associate professor in 2001 and then a full professor in 2007. He has assumed different academic leading positions including Chair of CS and CIS department, Dean of IT at JU, Hashemite University and Petra University in Jordan. He served as Vice-President and Director of QAA in many universities in the region including Jordan, UAE and Bahrain. He also provided consulting services in the field of QAA to several organizations and agencies in the region including Jordan, Palestinian Authority, Bahrain and UAE. He also has been selected as an international expert for many QAA projects in the Islamic World including Malaysia, Morocco, Jordan and Bahrain.

Prof. Moneeb, possessing extensive research and publication in his field, presented many refereed research papers in international conferences, workshops and symposiums with over 45 refereed papers and books. He was invited as an international speaker in many QAA and IT events in U.K, Germany and the Gulf region. He is a member of many international IT societies and a member of editorial board or reviewer for many international IT journals. His research interests are in the areas of IT, database system and quality assurance and accreditation.
